Donation Terms & Conditions
By making a donation to The Australian Lobby Group (“the Organisation”, “we”, “us”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Purpose of Donations
Donations are voluntary and support the Organisation’s advocacy, education, research, communications, operational activities, and lawful campaigns consistent with its mission. Donations are not earmarked unless expressly agreed in writing.
2. Eligibility to Donate
By donating, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are donating in your own capacity, or you are authorised to donate on behalf of an entity
- The funds donated are your own funds and not provided by another person or entity without disclosure
3. Compliance With Australian Electoral Law
Donations must comply with all applicable Australian laws, including the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 and any relevant state or territory legislation.
By donating, you declare that:
- You are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or an Australian-based entity
- The donation is not a foreign donation within the meaning of Australian electoral law
- The donation is not made anonymously where prohibited
- The donation is not made for an unlawful or prohibited purpose
4. Political Campaigning and Disclosure
The Organisation may engage in issue advocacy, public education, and where applicable, political campaigning.
Donors acknowledge that:
- Donations may be subject to disclosure requirements
- Disclosure obligations may apply to the donor, the Organisation, or both
- Donor details may be disclosed to regulatory bodies, including the Australian Electoral Commission, where required by law
5. Right to Refuse or Refund
The Organisation reserves the right to refuse or refund any donation where necessary for compliance, legal, or administrative reasons.
6. No Refund Policy
Donations are non-refundable except where required by law or issued at the Organisation’s discretion.
7. Tax Deductibility
Donations are not tax-deductible unless explicitly stated otherwise.
8. Communications Consent
By donating, you consent to receiving communications from the Organisation, including updates, campaigns, and fundraising appeals. You may unsubscribe at any time.
9. Amendments
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on the website at the time of donation will apply.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
Political Donations & Disclosure Statement
